Scholarships, Tuition Assistance & After-School Programming

Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. We fund scholarships from kindergarten through college impacting children in need.

Through our program partners we fund after school programs, character building exercises, college admissions counseling and leadership training to challenged youth.

We believe that any child regardless of circumstance deserves an opportunity to learn, achieve and thrive. And we bring together non-profit partners and volunteers to amplify the good that they can accomplish independently. Whether it is tuition assistance so a child can attend summer camp, a field trip grant, or a scholarship for a child in need to attend school, or “gap funding” to close the breach between a student’s college scholarship and their actual tuition bill– we are making a profound difference in the lives of children and young adults.

Corey C. Griffin Memorial Scholarship Fund

The endowed Corey C. Griffin Memorial Scholarship Fund awards annual scholarships to students of any religion at Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy in Dorchester and Mattapan.

These scholarships are awarded to students who best demonstrate the values that Corey held close to his heart—devotion to family and friends, compassion to others, and love of his Catholic faith. We are honored to partner with this life-changing program by providing financial and hands-on support. Please consider joining us on a site visit in the near future to see for yourself the wonderful impact of this program.

The Achieve Program

Achieve partners with families to empower motivated students from underserved Boston communities to close the opportunity gap.

With middle school programming and support through high school and college, the Achieve community provides transformative academic and enrichment experiences, and fosters enduring mentoring relationships that inspire confidence, learning and joy.

Achieve students are motivated, resilient and thoughtful young people who grow into extraordinary leaders. Our middle school scholars attend Boston’s district and charter public schools, come from low-income families, and represent diverse ethnicities, religions, and family backgrounds. Achieve seeks to increase our students’ academic skills, motivation, and self-confidence, and put them on the path to college.

Case Study

We brought together a national sportswear company and an urban elementary school to provide quality after-school programming.

The company provided coaches that led the students through high-energy fitness and nutritional program that taught these youngsters the importance of exercise and healthy eating, while at the same time sprinkling in life lessons about working hard and giving back to your community.

As kids would relate: find those people, and be those people who “have your back.” At the end of the school year, the foundation sponsored a field trip that brought the students to the offices of the lead instructor where they were not only treated to a behind-the-scenes tour, but also to the office environment of working professionals who had freely given their time to them for months.

We are proud to be giving kids a chance while teaching kids to give.
