Partner in the Field

From: Publication: CCS Report Card, Summer 2017

Last month, the Campaign for Catholic Schools (CCS) and Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy (SJPIICA) were honored to host the Corey C. Griffin Charitable Foundation (CCGCF) for a school visit to meet the talented students of the Corey’s Kids scholarship program.

In the past three years, the CCCGF has raised significant funds for non-profit organizations including CCS, the Run Burton Training Village and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Today, the Corey C. Griffin Endowment at the Campaign for Catholic Schools funds scholarships for six students who demonstrate values deeply important to Corey: devotion to family, kindness to others, generosity, and love of their Catholic faith. The number of scholarships will increase every year.

Recently the Griffin family and CCGCF pledged to build this scholarship fund to $1 million in support of the education of needy Catholic students. Corey’s fund is the first $1 million endowment pledge received by the Campaign for Catholic Schools.

In future months, the CCGCF and CCS’ young professionals group plan to partner on joint service projects and awareness programs that draw attention to the Academy’s work. CCGCF hopes to engage young professionals, involving them in the lives of students at SJPIICA.
