A Corey’s Kids Christmas

There were many smiling faces and happy children at the first annual Corey’s Kids Christmas event, held on December 6, 2022 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. The event, co-sponsored this year by Thee Mustard Seed Foundation, was open by invitation to children affiliated with Corey’s Kids programming through the Corey C. Griffin Foundation. Over 1,000 educational tablets and over 700 Tytan Tiles were gifted to youth.

Matthew Slater, Captain of the New England Patriots and a CCG Foundation board member, kicked off the event with a motivational speech. The gift-giving followed. The children were thrilled with both parts of the program! Older Corey’s Kids received a Chromebook, and the younger children were gifted interactive Tytan Tiles. A hands-on alternative to digital devices, Tytan Tiles encourage creativity and ingenuity in every STEM authenticated kit.

The Corey’s Kids Christmas was an incredible life-changing event. A parent, Kayla Naveo, who attended the event explained, “My son attended the event at the archdiocese tonight and received a laptop. This had a huge impact for him. He cried tears of joy in his seat as they were being passed out. He is the third of six kids and this will help us tremendously with the demands of his schools’ google classroom.”

The Corey C. Griffin Foundation is committed to supporting the success of all children. Through this Christmas-time event, the Foundation’s intent is to celebrate these students and let them know how much they are valued. The Corey C. Griffin Foundation was grateful for the opportunity to make many children’s holiday season both merry and bright.
