The Corey C. Griffin Foundation gratefully acknowledges a very generous gift from Karen and Rob Hale.

In honor of the 2024 Boston Marathon and in the spirit of the celebratory day for the community, Karen and Rob Hale have enhanced their support of the Corey C. Griffin Foundation with an unrestricted $500,000 gift.

“Cathy and I are so thankful for Karen and Rob’s continued friendship and ongoing support of all of Corey’s Kids,” said Robert Griffin, founder of the Foundation. “Their dedication to the Corey C. Griffin Foundation and the memory of our son is astounding.”

The Hale gift reinforces the Foundation’s mission and active commitment to providing transformational opportunities for underserved and under-resourced children and families in the greater Boston community through education, healthcare, and faith-led initiatives.

According to Foundation President Chandra Clark, “This very generous gift will directly benefit our dedicated program partners who work tirelessly to serve thousands of local children and families every day.”

On the afternoon of April 15, 2024, moments after Rob Hale crossed the Boston Marathon finish line in Copley Square, the Hales sent an email letter to local charities: “Recognizing the immense impact the fabled Marathon has had on our proud city, we are humbled to be able to make these gifts to wonderful organizations throughout our region that support our community. Please take and use this gift to further your vital mission. Together we make Boston Strong.”

With this sentiment, we thank Karen and Rob for celebrating our city, and, more importantly, the families who make it thrive.

We welcome your support! For more information about the Corey C. Griffin Foundation, please contact Foundation President Chandra Clark, [email protected].
