Bringing the Community Together for the Youth of Boston

An annual favorite, our Back-to-School Backpack Drive brings together local corporations, organizations, and individuals who donate new school supplies to ensure kids start the school year with what they need to succeed and begin the year with confidence. Special thanks to our partners at New Balance for providing the beautiful backpacks!

This year’s event will be on Wednesday, August 19th at Dorchester Park.

Our big day or preparation–packing 4000+ backpacks with supplies will be held on Wednesday, August 12th.

There are many ways to help Corey’s Kids get ready for the school year! Attend our annual Happy Hour event on July 30th, donate or host your own school supply drive, volunteer to stuff backpacks on August 12th , or help kids and families during the Backpack Drive on August 19th.

In partnership with the Massachusetts Association of Minority Law Enforcement Officers, the Giveaway culminates in a massive Back-to-School event hosted by our program partner Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy, Lower Mills, in Dorchester. Corey C. Griffin Foundation friends and supporters celebrate the day with students, families, and teachers, all gearing up for another successful year!
