Why I am Running

I am running for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation because their mission to support children in healthcare, education, and faith aligns with my values, and it is an honor to combine my passion for fitness and community involvement to help create lasting impacts on families in need.
The Corey C. Griffin Foundation (CCGF) makes a profound impact on children and families, especially during challenging times, through its focus on faith, character, education, and healthcare. Faith and Character: The Corey’s Kids Christmas initiative brings joy and relief to families during the holiday season—a time that can be financially stressful for many. By ensuring that each child feels valued, these events go beyond gift-giving; they emphasize building a brighter future for every child. Education: CCGF supports after-school programs, character-building activities, college admissions counseling, and leadership training. These resources empower Corey’s Kids to embrace new educational challenges and unlock their full potential. Healthcare: Living in Boston provides access to world-renowned hospitals, but the costs of treatment can be overwhelming for many families. The Corey Griffin House eases this burden by offering financial assistance, reducing stress, and allowing families to focus on their child’s care. I am truly inspired by the foundation’s efforts to create meaningful opportunities for children and families. The Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s investments in these areas are shaping brighter, more promising futures for the next generation. I am excited and honored to support their impactful mission.

Why I am Running

I am running for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation to support its vital work in improving the lives of children facing health and financial challenges, giving back to the Boston community that shaped me.
Considered by his peers to be the Eliud Kipchoge of the 9:27 minute mile pace, Ryan Blaszczak displays all the qualities of the consummate Weekend Warrior. Once described by former CEO and Nike founder Phil Knight as, “Poetry in motion with the legs of a Clydesdale”. Diligent, disciplined, and dripping with sweat, he has dedicated himself to the way of the runner. A prolific and innovative Strategy Consultant by day and endurance athlete by night, Ryan possesses the heart of the legendary Steve Prefontaine with the stride of Bill Rodgers. He approaches his training with the same calculated tactics and tenacity as he does for his government clients. Battle hardened and tested from years of marathons, half-Ironman triathlons, Ragnars, and Beer mile victories, Ryan sets his sights on taking down his 4th of the 7 World Major Marathons: the 128th Boston Marathon.

Why I am Running

I chose to run for CCG because I have seen first-hand the amazing impact the foundation has on Boston’s youth. I am proud to raise funds for this foundation and wear the CCG logo on my back on marathon day!
I am interested in supporting all of Corey’s kids impact areas, but feel most passionate about providing access to health care. I believe everyone deserves access to health care no matter their circumstances, and I’m amazed by the strides CCG has made in championing this effort through partnerships with Franciscan Children’s Hospital and My Brother’s Keeper.

Why I am Running

I am running for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation because of my connection to Corey’s family, the inspiring impact of his legacy, and the Foundation’s incredible work supporting children through education and healthcare.
I believe access to education creates a more equal playing field by opening doors to opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. Growing up, there was always a strong emphasis on education in my life, and that foundation has inspired me to help provide similar opportunities to those in less fortunate circumstances. I’m also deeply inspired by healthcare and the importance of educating people about their options, especially in the holistic space. The mind-body connection is vital, and I believe combining access to education with healthcare and knowledge about one’s well-being can have a profound impact. Together, these resources can empower individuals, improve lives, and even change the trajectory of someone’s future. I’d truly love to be more involved in these aspects of the Foundation’s work and hope over the course of the next few months I am able to increase involvement across the board with CCG.

Why I am Running

I am running for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation to raise awareness and funds for its incredible work supporting children in need, hoping to inspire others to learn, engage, and contribute to its mission.
As someone who has worked in education for 15 years in many different ways (and with many of my close friends and family also being teachers, educations, etc.) I felt drawn to the opportunities the foundation provides for access to high-quality education. Education plays such an important role in the lives of children and young people, it can change the course of their lives and the lives of their families. I knew from the start I wanted to be a part of this foundation and do what I can promote awareness for all the great work CCGF does.

Why I am Running

I’m passionate about helping my community, so applying to run with Team CCGF was a natural choice, and I’m excited to use my love for running to empower youth in the Boston area.
I have worked with many kids through coaching and other jobs I’ve had throughout the years and my experiences have taught me that you never know what someone is going through. My parents have taught me to give back to my community whenever I can, and CCGF was an obvious choice for giving back to my community. My goal is to support CCGF in any way I can as they provide opportunities to Boston youth.

Why I am Running

My experience mentoring through Marblehead’s Bridging Lives program showed me the power of community support, which is why I’m honored to run for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation and help provide children with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
One of the many things I love about CCGF and Corey’s Kids is that it expands across vital areas of support, making a true impact for so many children and their families. I am so grateful the many blessings in my life, including my own health and easy access to healthcare- I recognize that so many families in our community are unable to say the same. I feel inspired by CCGF’s efforts in supporting Corey’s Kids battling critical health conditions, and I was so moved to learn about the plan for the Corey Griffin House. Supporting children and their families in such a powerful way is a profoundly impactful service that will support so many families in need. Outside of healthcare support, I personally feel so strongly for the character development and mentorship that is given to Corey’s Kids. in my own experience, I have seen the massive impact that positive mentorship can have on a child. The Ron Burton Training Village truly changes the course of Corey’s Kid’s lives, equipping with the essential skills and tools that will aid in their personal growth and success. I feel strongly that this is something that will not only make a direct impact on these children’s lives, but the future of our society as well.

Why I am Running

Supporting this charity which raises money for different children’s causes is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people in need. I am drawn to the Corey Griffin Foundation because it offers an opportunity to directly support the future generation and contribute to creating a more equitable world for children.
Our children are getting older, now 9, 7 and 4.5. For the first few years of their lives, we felt like we have never looked up. Now they are older and we see the world through their eyes and take pride in teaching them about privilege, responsibility and what the world is outside the small area we live. I am so thrilled about being involved with this charity because it will be such an opportunity to specifically show our family about the impact charity has and what the CGF does for children around Boston.

Why I am Running

Growing up in the Boston area, I’ve always dreamed of running the marathon, and after learning about the transformative impact of the Corey C. Griffin Foundation through my close friend Emma McNealy, I’m grateful for the opportunity to run for such an impactful organization in my hometown.
My interest in supporting Corey’s Kids and the Corey C. Griffin Foundation stems from a deep alignment with its mission to empower children through access to high-quality education, character development, faith, and holistic health care. These impact areas resonate with my personal values and experiences, as I’ve seen how access to resources and compassionate care can transform lives. Growing up in Boston, I’ve witnessed both the challenges and strength of our community. The foundation’s commitment to fostering character development and faith in young individuals is particularly inspiring to me, as these principles have been central to my own growth. I’ve come to appreciate how a strong sense of purpose and resilience, rooted in faith, can help children overcome adversity and pursue their dreams. Furthermore, the foundation’s dedication to holistic health care aligns closely with my career aspiration to become a surgeon. Why I am Running

I am honored to run for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s 2025 Boston Marathon Team to support their mission of providing underprivileged children with education, healthcare, and mentorship. As I pursue a career in healthcare, this opportunity allows me to combine my passion for running with a cause that transforms lives and carries forward Corey’s inspiring legacy.
As someone who greatly values education and service, I know how important it is to invest in future generations. Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s commitment to providing access to top-tier education ensures underprivileged children have the resources, support, and mentorship they need to succeed. Not only is the access to academics great, but allowing a fostering of character development and resilience allows children to build confidence and become leaders in their own communities. The equally important focus on comprehensive and holistic healthcare is essential, as no child should begin their lives without access to quality health care, mental health support, and help to grow as a person. As someone who believes in holistic healthcare, by performing music at assisted living facilities and hospitals, I see how important it is to others to feel care and love in any situation they’re in, especially children. The collaboration with organizations fosters meaningful change. Through the foundation’s partnerships with hospitals, schools, and community programs, children can have mentorship opportunities, scholarships, and medical care. These initiatives not only help in moments of need, but they fully transform a child’s future.
