More than 2,000 fans came to see headliner Dustin Lynch and other performers. The energy was non-stop and the love was infectious. It made for a truly memorable night at The Citizens House of Blues. And the result was more than $2.2 million being raised for the life-changing impact our foundation is making with thousands of kids across Massachusetts.
A highlight of the evening was a $275,000 donation the foundation made to underpaid educators from The Ron Burton Training Village, Lawrence Catholic Academy in Lawrence, Saint John Paul II Catholic Academies in Dorchester, and Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton.
The teacher support is part of the Corey’s Scholars Program, which uplifts extraordinary and often-overlooked Boston-area students of color. It combines financial grants with one-on-one mentoring to support kids through high school, postsecondary education, and into the workforce. Gap funding for underpaid teachers and educators is also a key part of the effort.
