Announcing Team CCGF for the 2025 Boston Marathon

Every April, the Boston Marathon brings together runners from around the world, each with their own reason for tackling the legendary 26.2 miles from Hopkinton, up Heartbreak Hill, all the way to Copley Square. For the Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s team, every stride benefits the children we serve, lovingly called “Corey’s Kids”. Since 2017, these dedicated Team CCGF runners have raised over $1.1 million to support the Foundation’s life-changing scholarships, programs, and initiatives.

Meet the Team: Anna Alibrandi, Ryan Blaszczak, Jenna Blouin, Devin Caccavaro, Shannon Calamari-Kirwan, Sylvia Canestrari, Heath Cockrell, Isabella Corsini, Susie Edwards, Jessica Erickson, Brady Erickson, Sean Fee, Eddy Fish, Greta Freking, Christian Hayes, Catie McLane, Sejal Patel, Thomas Powell, Lexi Rothmann, Nico Schactman, Thomas Summers, Chris Trovato, Sophie West, Allie Winstanley, and Vera Yeh.

For some, the race is personal. “I am running for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation to give back to the community that shaped me, further its mission of supporting children, and ensure every child has access to education and healthcare, just as I was fortunate to receive,” said runner Allie Winstanley.

100% of the funds raised by Team CCGF directly support the Foundation’s inspired work, like the new Corey C. Griffin Hall at Lawrence Catholic Academy (opening in July), the Corey C. Griffin House at Boston Children’s Hospital (opening in 2026), and the new Corey’s Scholars program.

This year, we are thrilled to introduce our team for the 129th running of the Boston Marathon, a dedicated group of 25 runners who each have pledged to raise at least $10,000 for Corey’s Kids.

“Our marathon team represents the heart of our mission, with dedicated individuals using their time, talent, and energy to create a lasting impact for Corey’s Kids,” said Foundation President Chandra Clark. “We are incredibly grateful for their commitment and the support of everyone cheering them on.”

On Monday, April 21, 2025, we invite you to cheer on Team CCGF as they take on Heartbreak Hill and push toward the finish line on Boylston Street. Whether you’re watching from our Cheer Tent at Mile 13, tracking their progress online, or donating to their fundraising efforts, your shared engagement broadens our community and makes a lasting impact in the lives of the Boston youth we are proud to serve.
