Affectionately known as “Boston’s Biggest Night Out,” the Boston Winter Ball has become one of the city’s most anticipated annual events.
Each year, hundreds of young professionals, friends, corporate partners, and supporters gather at the black-tie affair to celebrate the life and legacy of Corey Griffin while raising vital funds for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation. With the bulk of its fundraising powered by corporate support, the event reflects the generosity of Boston’s business community alongside the energy of its next generation of leaders.
Guests come together to support Corey’s Kids, children across Greater Boston who benefit from scholarships, academic enrichment, healthcare programs, character-building initiatives, and family housing support during times of medical crisis.
The Ball channels the spirit of Corey’s generosity into action, transforming a night of dancing, celebration, and friendship into tangible opportunities for children who need them most.
Supporting Corey’s Kids across Greater Boston
Since its founding, the Winter Ball has raised more than $15 million, empowering more than 10,000 children annually to overcome barriers and pursue brighter futures. These funds support scholarships and youth programs that help kids reach their potential and overcome exclusionary barriers. The most recent Corey’s Scholars include Kaylan Casmir, of Brockton; Oriana Dunker, of Roxbury; and Serge Kemembin, of Lawrence—young leaders whose determination and achievements embody the very spirit of Corey’s legacy.

Committee members and co-chairs represent Boston’s rising business and community leaders, many in their 20s and 30s, who carry forward Corey’s legacy by modeling what it means to lead with compassion, energy, and purpose.
“The Boston Winter Ball is Known as ‘Boston’s Biggest Night Out’ and it is a super fun and glamorous evening for everyone, including our dedicated committee members, sponsors and community partners. Most importantly, it is the culmination of so much hard work and the collective impact we are making…building a better future for thousands of kids in this area. Hearing from Corey’s Kids is the highlight and reminds us of the true purpose behind the evening. It is something I look forward to every year.”

None of this would be possible without the Foundation’s partners, whose creativity, generosity, and expertise help bring the Ball to life each year. From staging and entertainment to hospitality and design, these partnerships ensure the event is not only memorable but deeply impactful.
For the Griffin family, the Winter Ball embodies Corey’s spirit.
Known for his generosity and his ability to bring people together, Corey’s legacy continues to grow through this event year after year.
Each Ball is a reminder that even out of loss, love can multiply, and that when a community comes together with purpose, it can change the trajectory of countless young lives.
Now in its 18th year, the Winter Ball is well into its second decade and quickly approaching its 20th anniversary. The mission remains clear: to carry Corey’s legacy forward by expanding opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and inspiring future generations to give back.
