Oh, What A Night; The 2026 Boston Winter Ball

The 18th Boston Winter Ball was the best one yet. This event was something Corey started just as a way to bring together close friends and loved ones. That core idea still drives us all, but nobody could have imagined what the Ball has now become: just an incredible spectacle of so many good people bringing love and generosity for our most precious commodity, Corey’s Kids.

We are humbled to say this year’s event featured more than 1,500 guests who helped us raise more than $2.5 million to support our mission—to be a Force of Love for kids through high-impact educational, healthcare and mentorship programs for youth across Massachusetts, serving over 10,000 kids annually.

Corey’s Kids are the heartbeat of the Boston Winter Ball, but we were also able to honor two legends of Boston philanthropy. The late Jack Connors and his family received our Thee Mustard Seed Award, which was recently reimagined in the spirit of Arthur Demoulas for his unwavering commitment to helping others. We honored Jack and his family for a profound and lasting impact on the Boston community through extraordinary generosity of time, talent, and treasure. Jack devoted his life to lifting up children and families across our city. Jack’s legacy of love and generosity continues to shine through the Connors family, whose ongoing commitment to service reflects the very best of Boston through philanthropic spirit, leadership, and selfless service inspires others to act.

We were also thrilled to celebrate Bill Burke, longtime Headmaster at St. Sebastian’s School, whose life’s work has shaped countless young people and strengthened the fabric of our community. Bill received the 2026 Humanitarian Award in recognition of his steadfast dedication to service, mentorship, and the betterment of others. His example reminds us that true leadership is rooted in kindness, humility, and a deep commitment to helping every person thrive.

The highlight of the night was easily our Youth Courage Award Winners: Avery from Trinity Catholic Academy, and Bryce, from the Ron Burton Training Village. Bryce gave a warm, thoughtful acceptance speech and Avery’s video tribute was equally powerful. These kids are shining examples of the work we’re doing to ensure every child has the chance to thrive.

Corey C. Griffin President, Chandra Clark, summed things up:

“The Winter Ball is one-of-a-kind. It’s a celebration on so many fronts. The party is simply incredible. Just a really entertaining evening with so many fun and amazing elements. But most importantly, this night is our annual recognition of all the great work being done for Corey’s Kids. We call the kids we serve Corey’s Kids because we are guided by the memory of our namesake, who always saw the best in kids and inspired them to be their best selves. We live that everyday. We believe that all children have the potential to succeed when afforded the same access to opportunities. Hearing from Bryce and Avery really reaffirmed that belief. They’re incredible kids destined for great things. And the best part is there are literally thousands of other Corey’s Kids on the same path. The power of love is exactly that, powerful.”

This amazing event does not happen without the support of our sponsors. We are lucky to have them alongside every step of the way. And we also owe so much gratitude to many volunteers, including members of the Corey C. Griffin Foundation Board of Directors, the Emerging Leaders Council, and family and friends.
