That’s a wrap: CoreyFest 2025

The 2025 event featuring country star Dustin Lynch was a memorable one, raising over $2.2 million and drawing over 2,000 guests at The Citizens House of Blues in Boston on November 1st. A key highlight was a donation of $275,000 the foundation made on stage to underpaid educators from The Ron Burton Training Village, Lawrence Catholic Academy in Lawrence, Saint John Paul II Catholic Academies in Dorchester and Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton.

The teacher support is part of the Corey’s Scholars Program, which is a transformative initiative designed to uplift extraordinary and often-overlooked Boston-area students of color. It combines financial grants with one-on-one mentoring to support kids as well as gap funding for underpaid teachers who are an equally important element of the effort.

Chandra Clark, President of the Foundation, commented on the teacher support: “We have made so much progress with Corey’s Kids and helped give so many children an opportunity to thrive. But we know that behind every successful student is a successful teacher providing love and support. We also know in many cases these teachers aren’t compensated to match the impact they’re making. We always take a holistic approach to issues which means funding support for teachers is critical to our agenda.”
